There has already been a marked and precipitous decrease in the occurrence of small and mid sized native mammal and bird species in areas of the glades where pythons are numerous.
If this disgusts or upsets you, I invite you to come up with an alternate plan that will protect native wildlife from introduced pythons…
but do it quickly and figure out how to pay for it. Losing species to pythons, in what is supposed to be one of our great wilderness areas, is unacceptable.
